Liz Devine took her first photography class when she was in high school in rural Sandy, Oregon. “I was in love,” she says. “I wanted to be a photographer, move to a city, and change my name from Liz Berglund to Liz Devine.” Devine is her mother’s maiden name, and always struck her as a more memorable professional moniker. In the following years, Liz got a fine art photography degree in Portland, moved to New York City to pursue a freelance career and triumphantly switched her surname. She established our New York office last year, and has lent her photography skills to a number of 12FPS projects. “Telling real stories is a lot of what 12FPS has brought to my photography, because that’s at the heart of everything we do,” Liz says. “I find myself really drawn to the human element in photos.
